VISTA & AMERICORPS

​BASIC ELIGIBILITY & SERVICE REQUIREMENTS:
Associates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of placement and a U.S. citizen
Associates must serve on a full-time basis during the project period (40 hours/week)
Associates must not be listed on the National Sex Offenders Public Registry
​Associates must commit to the entire 
​10-week service term 
Associates must commit to attending a mandatory orientation on first day of service
Associates must be available for work 40 hours per week 
Associates are NOT permitted to take personal days during their 10-week service term*
​SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAM BENEFITS:
A living allowance for the time served, $1026 per month (service
term is 2.5 months)
A $1,289.95 Eli Segal AmeriCorps Education Award from the
​National Service Trust, OR a
$345.80 cash award

Picture2018 Cache Makers Summer VISTA Associates
​Summer Associates serve for 10 weeks during the summer - June 3 through August 11, 2019. The Cache Makers AmeriCorp Vista Summer Intern position is a cooperative learning position. The intern will have opportunities to develop professional skills through ongoing projects and day-to-day tasks. A primary responsibility of all interns will be facilitating youth summer camps teaching various STEM related subjects. Each intern will be assigned to a staff member who will provide regular mentorship. Additionally, each intern may be assigned as a mentor to a member of the youth mentor staff. As part of this internship each intern will, with the assistance and approval of their mentor, design and complete a personal portfolio project relating to their individual academic and professional goals.
